Twinfield Union School in Plainfield is hosting an Arabic teacher from Morocco, and Bellows Free Academy in Fairfax is hosting a Mandarin Chinese teacher from Taiwan. We are all very pleased to welcome these teachers into our communities. These experienced teachers will join the faculty of their schools this year through a collaboration of the Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP) and SPIRAL International.
Besides building new language programs in their respective schools, these teachers will also be doing a lot of community outreach in the form of lectures, evening classes, cultural events, etc. Keep an eye out for these opportunities!
TCLP makes it easy for U.S. schools to start or grow an Arabic or Mandarin Chinese language program by placing teachers from Taiwan, Egypt, Morocco, and People’s Republic of China (PRC) to teach Arabic or Chinese as a foreign language for an academic year. By sharing their languages and cultures, the teachers bring global competencies to their host schools and communities.
If you are interested in learning how SPIRAL can help your school host a TCLP teacher, or just want to know more, please reach out! Email Sydney at [email protected].
Applications for the 2023-2024 school year will be due in October 2022.
