Remember when SPIRAL took students from Center for Global Studies on an awesome study tour of Taiwan and they got to visit classrooms and build friendships with students there? Well, CGS students got to return the favor this month, when a school group from Taiwan came to Norwalk, CT, to experience life here.
The CGS and Taiwanese students shared a week of collaborative academic activities, including culture and history classes and a maritime science project. They visited Yale, Six Flags, and New York City. Best of all, they got to hang out and share their lives and hobbies through 10-day homestays.
Students are looking forward to continuing to build on these relationships through online communication and exchange. And who knows? They just might meet up again in Taiwan next year!
