A visit to China is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Join us for SPIRAL’s 2017 China Study Tour, and visit some of the most fascinating sights in this vast country. This tour is especially designed for our American student peer leaders, host families, and high school students studying the Chinese language to explore and learn the country and culture, but teachers and educators are also encouraged to participate.
The two-week tour will take place during the 2017 spring break. The cost, which includes round-trip airfare from JFK Airport in New York to Beijing, domestic airfare and travel in China, plus accommodations and meals is estimated at $3,200 per person. Our group will be escorted by a SPIRAL staff member and/or an American teacher.
The tour includes stops in Beijing and Chengdu where you will gain first-hand experience of contemporary society and culture. You will also visit world-famous historic sites such as the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and the Temple of Heaven, as well as the Three Rivers Dam. While in Chongqing, the American travelers will meet some of the Chinese students who participated in SPIRAL Summer Camps in recent years, visit their schools, and meet their families.
All participants will learn and practice basic Chinese language skills, tour three major Chinese cities, and enjoy Chinese cuisine including Hot-Pot! This trip will be an unforgettable intercultural experience with memories that will last a lifetime.
