Guangzhou Xiangjiang Secondary School, with its well-established XJ-East Lyme American High School Partnership, is seeking an Interim Principal for the International Division for the 2016-17 school year.
This is a twelve-month position starting August 1, 2016.
The Interim Principal for the International Division will take full charge of the division, including academic affairs, student services and school administration. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence and personal growth of every student, successful experience with English language learners, staff development, curriculum development and implementation, and high school program design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree in Education or related field;
- Minimum 8 years’ experience teaching or combination of teaching/administration in an American secondary school;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in school administration, with an American principal license or secondary education central office administrator certification in the United States;
- Successful leadership and management experience;
- Experience in an international school is preferred;
- Knowledge about the overall operation of a Chinese high school is a plus.
